Take a 66 second trip to take a sip from the fountain of youth via this video. Below is a slide show of the piece without audio. "You will be Old at the Island of Never O'Clock" is a 3 dimensional sculpture with interactive textural and audio elements. I made this one for my sister's birthday, but have also made similar pieces on commission. Behind the wooden chair, something a stranger lurks on four legs. Sweating to leave unreadable lines in auburn hair in the Winter, and in between fingers in the Fall. Having been hit by lightning in the head thrice, his watch won't work on his left hand. he says He likes to fly with his belly on tall stools and low tables waiting to catch shadows. Something clawed crawled, forcing a creep, while she was just waiting to use the bathroom. She tripped the trap, followed and was swallowed. "What a creep!" the crowd crowed. Feels like wearing the lavender dress atop the bottom stair of the chapel Mary staring down knowing (I will never be good and i have to pee so badly), or later that night when I see her again in the closet being eaten by tiny silvery bugs Flies crowning her baby's head or Boots lolling in the big back of the wagon that was powder blue and knowing he would die now (and sometime everyone else too) or so many years gone knowing now that Father Dominic was right. Here is a new video of a recent gorge hike. If the visuals are weird to you, just minimize and listen...
I love where I live, it is the best. I love the summers. You can't beat the camping, hiking, and water fun here... in the summer. But, man the rainy months are hard and long and Spring feels like a one long aching tease. I do love the anticipation that fills these half way sunshine days. When the sun goes away, I can busily post photos from warm patches and write down some things to share. The long,
wet, chilly winters in Oregon slowly (let go and) turn into long, wet, foggy, kinda cold springs (that are) dotted with marvelous rays of sunshine (that can) last hours. One day this year a day like that lasted all day, a rare event, usually not seen till May. Coyote Wall ChangesDiablo Lake Watch 2011 and 2014First hike of Spring on warmest day in 2014 so far. |
